The charrette is now over, and Melanie Hennigan has created three rather large Powerpoints - with pictures - one about the adult charrette, one about the Artful Afternoon, and one about the children's charrette.

The Greener Greenbelt Initiative (GGI) is kicking into high gear its outreach efforts to all courts of GHI and to the surrounding community of old Greenbelt .  Week of July 20, our own Frank Debernardo, wrote an article for the News Review describing GGI's outreach effort.  The purpose of the outreach effort is to give everyone an opportunity to learn about and come to the big brainstorming event, the Charrette, coming up at the end of September 28-30 at the Greenbelt Elementary School on Ridge Rd.

So we are looking for people to help spread the word among their friends and neighbors, by either knocking on doors, or hosting a small gathering to spread the word about the Charrette.  If you are interested, please come to a training session, which GGI is holding to help with the outreach effort.  The first is Monday, July 30 at 7:30 to 8:30pm and is repeated again on Saturday, August 11 at 11am to noon.  Both trainings will be at the GHI Admin Building on Hamilton Place.

GGI will also have a table at the Coop Grocery store on 7/25 (4-8pm), 8/11 (10-2pm) and two other later dates.  You are welcome to look us up there as well.
